In the game stones, it says in the rules that to win you have to take the last stone off the pile. I was playing a game yesterday and I did take the last stone off the pile but it said I lost. I then sent a private quicknote to another user and they said the same thing has happened to them a few times. I asked him if I should report it and he agreed.
the following is taken from the rules of stones.
Welcome to Stones. We'll set a pile of stones between you and the computer. Each round, you can take off one, two, or three stones. The object is to not
take off the last stone. Do that and you lose. Make the computer do it and win 25 points.
I can see how those rules are a little confusing, but you got it backwards. The object is not to take the last stone: make the computer do it.

Yes, basically and the trick is multiple of four plus one, that's the numbers you want the computer at.
Thank you so much for that tip on multiples of four plus one! It works wonderfully. I played 3 rounds just now and won all three. unfortunately, I was only awarded points for the 2nd two games though I won all three.. so I got 50 points total instead of 75.
Why were you only awarded points for the second two games? Could you please explain this multiples of 4 + 1 thing?
I have found that after you win and you play again you win after refreshing the page with the play again link.. If you loos then after you go to play again you will loos with out getting another chance.
I've found that too. It's weird, and I think it deserves some attention, because for those of us who have the time and the patience to play again and again, they could basically win free points without really earning them, although it wouldn't be very many.
